This research has been done jointly by New York University and Mumbai-based Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). The most surprising aspect of the research is that these waves move three times faster than the current theory. The study of these waves is also necessary for what is happening in the inner regions of the Sun. HFR waves may prove to be the new first in what has been understood so far in stars. At present, researchers are trying to understand why these waves move at such a high speed.
In their study published in the journal Nature Astronomy, the researchers wrote that this unknown nature of these waves calls for more understanding about their physics and solar dynamics. The existence and origin of HFR waves is a mystery. It can help to understand the movements inside the Sun. Scientists hope that by studying these waves, they will be able to understand the effect of the Sun on Earth and other planets in our solar system.
Talking about other news related to science, recently scientists have confirmed the existence of more than 5000 planets outside our solar system. Till many years ago, scientists had information about selected planets, but the curiosity to know about the world has led them to this point. NASA has added a new batch of 65 planets to its exoplanet archive, which are outside our current solar family. In this way more than 5000 planets outside the solar system have been discovered in the last 30 years. The Exoplanet Archive records the discoveries that are made using a variety of methods to identify and then confirm their existence.
