These days most of the mobile operators give users 2GB to 3GB data per day for 28 days, but users are not able to use it on daily basis. But after the arrival of 5G, the usage can increase.
Smartphone users know how much data they use
To woo the smartphone users, nowadays many telecom companies are offering different plans. There are also cheap internet data packs, which offer different data plans. But do you know how much data a user spends in a month. According to the report of Ericsson Mobility, users in the country are usually able to spend less than half the data per day. So in a month they can hardly use 14GB of data, after that the pack becomes useless.
According to the report, mobile operators in India offer 2GB to 3GB data per day to the users for 28 days. In such a situation, if seen during the entire validity, then this data ranges from 56GB to 84GB. But most of the users are not able to finish the complete data on daily basis. The average traffic of smartphone users has been recorded at 14.6GB per month in 2020. This is more than the year 2019. During that time users were able to use only 13GB data per month.
Data usage will increase as soon as 5G arrives
Ericsson has estimated that by the end of the year 2026, the number of data users in India will increase with the arrival of 5G network. Along with this, there will also be an increase in the figures of daily data spending. During that time the usage can increase up to 40GB. The report said, “The average traffic per smartphone in India ranks second globally. This is projected to grow to around 40GB per month in 2026.”
Mobile subscription will increase
By the end of 2026, 5G networks will cover about 26 percent of mobile subscriptions in India. It is estimated to have around 330 million subscriptions. In 2026, covering 66 percent of mobile subscriptions, 4G will maintain its place in the market, at this time it is believed that 3G will be eliminated.
