WhatsApp has added a new shopping button, which will make it easier for customers to view business catalogs. With the help of this button, users will be able to see the goods and services offered by the businesses. WhatsApp said that the new button will help in increasing the purchase of their products for businesses. According to WhatsApp, more than 175 million people message daily on WhatsApp. And every month more than 40 million people visit a business catalog. These include more than 3 million users in India.
WhatsApp has more than 400 million users in India and the company has recently launched its payment feature on Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
Shopping Button Now Available Worldwide
With the new feature of WhatsApp, users will now see the shopping button with the profile of the business account. Previously, the user had to go inside the business profile to see the catalogue. Tapping on the shopping button will open the catalogue and users will be able to view the items.
WhatsApp said that the new shopping button is now available all over the world and on business accounts it has replaced the voice call button. To find the voice call button in a business account, the user has to tap on the call button, which can select the voice or video call.

How to use shopping button?
- Go to a business account on WhatsApp. This can be a business account with which you chat regularly like a local shopkeeper.
- If the seller has uploaded the catalog in their business account, then users will see the store shop icon with the account name.
- Tap on the icon and a catalog will open showing products available by businesses. You can see the picture of every product by going to catalog. If you like the product, then tap on the message business button below the picture and you can ask questions about that product.
