Samsung Odyssey Neo G9
Samsung Electronics has announced that its new curved gaming monitor with Mini LED display will be launched this week. This latest device features the gaming industry’s first curved gaming monitor with mini LED display. The Odyssey Neo G9 will be launched in South Korea on July 29 with a price of 2.4 million Won ($2,085).
According to tech sources, this device will be available globally by August 9. As reported by Yonhap news agency, this Quantum Mini LED light source is used, which is 1/40 of the height of the normal incoming LED, which is also used in Samsung’s Neo QLED TVs. This device’s 49-inch monitor is also equipped with Quantum Matrix technology.
What will be special in Samsung’s curved gaming monitor
Quantum Matrix technology offers a 12-bit upgrade for greater control of the light source, making dark spaces darker and light spaces lighter with 2,048 dimming spaces. Samsung said that with its Quantum HDR 2000 solution it delivers 2,000 nits of very bright light with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. According to Samsung, the Odyssey Neo G9 features 100R curvature, which also delivers dual quad high-definition 5120 x 1440 resolution with 240Hz and 1ms reaction time for immersive gaming experience.
Samsung said that the monitor comes with a rear Infinity Core lighting system, which includes 52 colors and five lighting effect options for a better gaming environment. The monitor has also received an Eye Comfort Certificate by TUV Rheinland, a major international certification organization, for better protection of the eyes of the users.
Samsung has recently launched 5G smartphone
In an effort to expand its 5G smartphone portfolio, Samsung India recently launched its new Galaxy A22 5G smartphone. It is being said that this is the first smartphone in the A-series with 5G connectivity. There are two variants of this smartphone – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB, which cost 19,999 and 21,999 respectively. It is available at all retail stores, Samsung.com and major online portals.
