According to a Gizmochina report, a total of 342 million units were shipped in the market in the third quarter. Counterpoint Research says that the main reason for this growth is the continuous increase in sales of the iPhone 12 series and the launch of the new iPhone 13 series.
China’s Xiaomi is in third place with around 13 percent market share. However, Xiaomi’s smartphone sales declined by about 5 percent on a year-on-year basis and 15 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis. The company sold around 4.44 crore units in the third quarter. The reason for the drop in sales may be due to interruption in the supply of components. In the third quarter, Realme recorded its highest ever shipments. The company’s sales stood at 1.62 crore units. In India, Realme overtook Xiaomi to take the second spot in the smartphone market in October.
