Ravi Shankar Prasad also said that the issue of social media in India is related to the violation of the rights of the victims on these platforms and the accountability of the companies.
He said that if democracy has to overcome misinformation, fake news, copied material then all these are challenges. I am not in favor of restraint but democratic countries have to reach a consensus on these issues so that these major technology companies can do their job, make good money, make good profits but be accountable. This will happen only if you follow the law of any country.
