If you use Android smartphone, then be cautious. Recently, a new malware has been detected which is causing damage to users’ phones. A total of eight Android apps have been detected in which this virus was present and making customers their target in Southeast Asia and Arabian Peninsula. As reported by McAfee Cell Analysis, these applications have had over 7,00,000 downloads.
This malware was making a place in users’ phones through photo editor, wallpaper, riddles, keyboard skin and many camera-related apps. The malware embedded in these fraudulent apps hijack SMS notifications and then make unauthorized purchases. According to the report, the app proved itself for the Google Play Retailer by showing a normal model for the overview and then later launched the dangerous code through an update. That is, the normal working version of the first app was launched and later it was updated.

McAfee Cell Safety has detected this threat in the form of Android / Etinu and has alerted customers to it. In these applications, malware attacks through current dynamic code loading. Folders similar to the malware’s encrypted payloads app are also added to the phone. These use names like “cache.bin,” “settings.bin,” “knowledge.droid,” or “.png”.
Virus difficult to detect
Overall, this virus hides your phone in some such form that it becomes very difficult to identify it. After this, this malware automatically opens a url and does unauthorized shopping.
