Krafton has announced via a blog post that PUBG: New State will not work on Android devices until players update the game. If not updated, the game will take players to the Google Play Store or Galaxy Store. Players who install this update will be awarded three Chicken Medals as rewards.
This is the first update that will be rolled out by PUBG: New State to strengthen the anti-cheat system. This will make it easier to identify and reduce the cheating methods used by players. If players are found using unethical methods or hacks while playing the game, their account will be banned permanently.
PUBG: New State was launched on November 11 for Android, iOS and iPadOS in around 200 countries including India. It is part of the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) franchise. It boasts of a next generation battle royale experience, where 100s of players fight using different weapons and strategies.
