Xiaomi is now planning to launch a phone with electrochromic back panel like Oppo. Along with this, she is going to update MIUI 12.5 in phones like Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i, Mi 11 X Pro, Mi 11X, Mi 10T Pro, Mi 10T, Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10.
After the launch of Oppo Reno 6 Pro Plus Detective Conan Edition, smartphone brand Xiaomi can launch a phone with electrochromic back panel. According to Gizmochina, Xiaomi is testing a device with a low-power photochromic/electrochromic back panel.
It remains to be seen which of the two technologies Xiaomi adopts. According to the report, the Vivo S10 has a photochromic back that changes color from orange to blue in direct sunlight. The process of color change is due to the ultraviolet rays coming from the sun.
On the other hand, the Oppo Reno6 Pro Plus Detective Conan Edition, which has an electrochromic back, can switch from silver to red and back. The color change occurs when a voltage is passed through the glass, the report said. The report mentions that the company may not use glass, but polycarbonate as the plastic substrate.
