The company has told Android Police in a statement that it is aware of the problems caused by the OxygenOS 12 update and that the software team is working to fix the issues. The company is suspending the update and will release a new update soon.
Due to this update in OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro smartphones, bugs like call trouble, poor animation, slow Wi-Fi speed have come to the fore. Despite several rounds of beta testing, users are disappointed due to such problems in the update. The company has promised to release a new version of the update soon. However, no fixed date has been given for this.
Notably, OxygenOS 12 is basically a custom skin on top of Oppo’s ColorOS. For the first time, OnePlus devices have been upgraded from the traditional OxygenOS to this new version made by Oppo.
It is believed that most of the issues are coming due to switching from OxygenOS to ColorOS and many of the settings are not being adjusted properly. Some reports also say that factory resetting the phone will fix most of the issues.
