Users were waiting for this feature of WhatsApp for a long time. In such a situation, after its arrival, you can hide your last seen, profile picture and status from any contact.
Users were waiting for this feature of Whatsapp for many days.
WhatsApp is finally working on a new feature that all the users have been waiting for. Facebook authorized messaging app will now soon allow users to hide last seen, status, profile picture from selected contacts. At present, users have only three options in which they can either show their profile picture, last seen and status to everyone or keep it limited for their contacts. However, here you do not get the option to hide it from the selected contact.
According to the Wabetainfo report, WhatsApp is going to change its privacy settings. The messaging app is now going to give this option to the users where they can hide their status and profile picture from any person. This feature is being tested on the beat versions of Android and iOS.
A few years ago, WhatsApp introduced 3 privacy settings. This included Last Seen, Profile Picture, About. With the help of these settings, you used to get permission about who can see your data. To manage this privacy settings, the company brought 3 options which included Everyone, My Contacts and Nobody.
This is how the feature will work
This means that, if you do not want anyone to see your contact’s last seen, then you can go to the privacy setting and set the last to nobody. But today the company is working on another feature which is My Contacts Except. That is, now you can show your last scene to anyone, then you can hide it from anyone there.
Let us tell you that now My Contacts…except is going to be added to the privacy settings. That is, now users will have 4 options. When they select the Everyone option, it means that every person will be able to see your profile picture, status and last seen. On the other hand, when you select My Contacts, then whatever will happen in your contact, you will be able to see everything. But after selecting the nobody option, no one will be able to see your last seen, status and profile picture.
According to the report, this feature of WhatsApp is currently under development. And it can be rolled out with any stable update.
