Please tell me that now you have got three more months to link your PAN card to Aadhaar. In such a situation, if you do not link Aadhaar with PAN, then you will not be able to use your PAN card as an ID proof or for other purposes, nor will you be able to do any financial transaction.
Actually, a PAN card is mandatory for many tasks like opening a bank account, buying a mutual fund or shares, and a cash transaction of more than Rs 50,000 and due to lack of linking with Aadhaar, you will not be able to complete all these tasks.
How to link PAN with Aadhaar card
First of all, go to the e-filing portal of Inkt Tax Department. Now click on the link base section on the left. Fill your PAN number, Aadhaar number and name here. Fill in the letter you see in the captcha. Now click on ‘Link Aadhaar’ option and your PAN Aadhaar linking will be completed.
Link PAN and Aadhaar via SMS
You can also link your PAN with Aadhaar number via SMS. For this, you have to send an SMS from your registered mobile number to 567678 or 56161. To do this, type UIDPAN (12 digit Aadhaar number) (10 digit PAN) in the mobile and send it to 567678 or 56161. After this, according to your Aadhaar details, the IT department will validate your name, date of birth and gender, after which linking will be done.
