CoWIN has added an option to rectify the mistake in your vaccine certificate. This feature is called “raise an issue”. Aarogya Setu said on Twitter, “Now you can correct your name, birth year and gender in your Coin Vaccination Certificate if mistakes have been made inadvertently. Use the newly launched feature.
With the launch of the new feature everyone can update the certificate and correct any errors in your COVID-19 vaccine certificate. However, you must note that the change can be done only once, so check the certificate thoroughly at first and then make a request on the CoWIN portal.
Here are 5 easy steps that will help you request and correct the mistake in your COVID-19 vaccine certificate…
- Visit the CoWIN website and login with your registered mobile number and input OTP to login.
- Go to the Account section and click on “Raise a Request”.
- Then you have to select a member’s name. Specifically, you can add up to four members with one mobile number.
- Next in the certificate option click on “Correction” and tap on the option ‘Continue’.
- Select the area you want to correct by name, year of birth and gender. Enter the correct details and then tap on Continue to enter the request.
- Your Vaccine Certificate has now been updated with the correct details.
