Motorola is all set to enter the tablet market in India with the Moto Tab 8. The company has not made any official announcement yet but if reports are to be believed, the tablet will be launched in India on October 1.
Motorola is preparing to launch both Tab and TV here
Motorola is all set to enter the tablet market in India with the Moto Tab 8. The company has not made any official announcement yet, but reports suggest that the tablet will be launched in India on October 1. Now new reports also suggest that the Lenovo authorized company will also launch a new Smart TV in India along with the tablet. Motorola is not new in the smart TV market. The company has some smart TVs available in the market. This time the company authorized by Lenovo can launch a new line-up.
As far as the tablet is concerned, reports suggest that the Moto Tab 8 will be a rebranded version of the Lenovo Tab M8. The Lenovo tablet was launched in India two years back, and it currently retails for Rs 13,999 in India. Moto Tab 8 has an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The tablet is powered by MediaTek Helio P22T Tab octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, which can be expanded using a microSD card. The tablet runs on Android Pie v9.0 operating system.
Lenovo Tab M8 works on 5100mAH Lithium-Ion battery. The company claims that the tablet gets 18 hours of browsing time on a single charge. The Moto Tab 8 sports a 13-megapixel camera at the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. However, if Motorola were to launch the same tablet under its hood, it could launch the device with a newer version of Android and a better processor and camera tab. This is because the Lenovo M8 was launched back in 2019 and we cannot expect Motorola to reveal an older product.
Talking about TVs, there is no information on whether Motorola will launch an all-new TV series in India or will refresh its previous lineup. The size of the TV that could be launched by Motorola has not been disclosed in the report. However, looking at the past trends, we can expect Motorola to launch TVs in 32-inch, 45-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch. The TV is expected to be powered by Android.
