iPhone 12
The festive season is on and during this time people have ordered different products including mobile phones taking advantage of the sale. But a person living in Aluva, Kerala was blown away when he got a soap and a five rupee coin instead of an iPhone of 70 thousand rupees. It was delivered to the home of iPhone users on 15 October.
Nooral Amin is a regular customer of Amazon and always keeps ordering something or the other. He ordered an iPhone this month on October 12, after which he paid Rs 70900. After this he received the parcel on 15 October.
The buyer got suspicious of this package when it was dispatched from Hyderabad and stayed for a day in Salem. While most packages travel from Hyderabad to Kochi in just two days, the iPhone 12 took 3 days to deliver.
After this, when this device was delivered to the buyer’s house, he opened the package in front of the delivery boy of Amazon delivery partner. A dish soap and a five-rupee coin came out in that package. He had also prepared a video of this incident, so that he could prove this.
Amin immediately called Amazon customer care after this. After that, informed the police department about this and lodged an FIR. When the police proceeded with the investigation, it was found that someone was using that iPhone since September 25.
A police officer told the New Indian Express that he questioned Amazon officials and a Telangana dealer. Also, this phone has been bought from Amazon in October, while a person from Jharkhand has been using it since September. The seller told that this iPhone was out of stock and the amount paid to the buyer has been returned. However the investigation is still on.
