Reliance Jio has left everyone behind in terms of 4G download speed in the month of November. The data download rate of Jio is 20.8 megabytes per second (Mbps). At the same time, Vodafone (Vodafone) has been at the forefront with 6.5 Mbps in terms of upload speed. This information has been received from the latest data update of Telecom Regulator TRAI. The download speed of Jio has been more than double that of its nearest rival Vodafone.
Vodafone second in download speed
Although Vodafone and Idea Cellular merged their mobile businesses, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is still releasing network speed data separately from both the units. Vodafone has a download speed of 9.8 Mbps in November. After this, Idea 8.8 Mbps and Bharti Airtel come with download speed of 8 Mbps. This information is according to the updated data of TRAI on 10 December.
Live fourth in upload speed
Vodafone has been at the forefront of the upload segment with a network speed of 6.5 Mbps. After this Idea comes with Airtel 4Mbps and Jio 3.7 Mbps, with upload speed of 5.8 Mbps. The download speed helps the customers to access the content from the Internet, while the upload speed will help them to send and share photos, videos etc. to their contacts. TRAI calculates the average speed based on the data collected from across the country with the help of its MySpeed application on a real time basis.
Let us know that Bharti Airtel has left Reliance Jio behind in the matter of adding new mobile subscribers in September. According to the data released by Telecom Regulator TRAI on Thursday, this has happened after a period of four years. Reliance Jio was at the top of the monthly mobile subscription from the beginning of the launch of its commercial operations in September 2016.
