Telecom operator BSNL has started 4G service in select areas but its network speed was not in TRAI chart. Average speed is calculated on the basis of data collected by TRAI on real time basis across India with the help of its MySpeed application.
Jio has started 5G testing
Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJio), a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), has started field testing of 5G network in four circles of the country. The company is preparing the base through testing before the commercial rollout of 5G network. Testing is being done jointly with partners and using their own technology.
Testing is being done in Mumbai using its 5G technology, while testing is being done jointly with Ericsson in Delhi, Nokia in Pune and Samsung in Gujarat.
