New Delhi/Mumbai.Telecom giant Reliance Jio has launched a New Year special promotional prepaid offer as 2021 approaches. The new plan will likely give some relief to users who have suffered from the recent tariff hike. Jio is offering an extra validity of 29 days with its Rs 2545 prepaid plan, which till now used to give a validity of 336 days.
Thus, this plan will now offer a validity of 365 days. However it will be available only for a limited period till January 2, 2022. Jioca Rs 2545 prepaid plan offers 1.5 GB per day with unlimited voice and 100 local and national SMS per day. This plan also gives users access to JioTV, JioCinema, JioSecurity and JioCloud.
For some users, the New Year offer is being shown through the My Jio app. However, the web portals are still showing the current validity of 336 days. Users who subscribe to the Rs 2545 plan will get 365 days of validity immediately with additional validity in their account in January 2022.
Jio brings New Year offers on its plans every year. The prepaid plan priced at Rs 2545 was launched on the new year of 2020 and was priced at Rs 2020. The same plan saw an increase of Re 1 in 2021 and was priced at Rs 2021. After the tariff hike, the plan was priced at Rs 2545 in December this year.
Meanwhile, state-run telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is also offering hard-to-miss offers on its long-term prepaid plan priced at Rs 2399. At present, no other telecom company is giving more than 365 days validity to the users. The prepaid plan priced at Rs 2399 earlier used to offer a validity of 365 days but BSNL extended it for 60 days.
However, this plan is promotional and will be available till December 31, 2021. The Rs 2399 plan offers unlimited data, the speed of which comes down to 80 Kbps after 3GB of data per day. It also offers 100 SMS per day on any network and Eros Now premium content is being provided along with BSNL Tunes for 425 days.
In this sequence, 896 new cases of this deadly infection were reported in Mumbai in the last 24 districts, due to which the number of infected has increased to 7,70,910, while two people have also died due to infection, due to which the death toll has increased to 16,370.
