Indian company Greta Electric has launched 4 e-slug scooters, which will run up to 100km on a single charge

Due to the rising prices of petrol and diesel, people are shifting towards electric vehicles. Scooters are in high demand in electric two wheelers. This is the reason why companies are introducing new vehicles one after the other. Gujarat based EV startup, Greta Electric, the new sensation in the market, has launched four electric scooters simultaneously. Their price ranges from 60 thousand to 92 thousand rupees. The four models launched are Harper, Ivespa, Glide and Harper ZX.

Greta is part of Raj Electromotives, which specializes in electric conversion of pedal-powered cycles, rickshaws, tricycles and bikes. The company received approval for its electric scooter from the International Center for Automotive Technology (ICAT) in 2019.

The four scooters that Greta has launched – Harper, Harper ZX, Evespa and Glide, each have a different body style. According to the details shared on Instagram, the company has launched these scooters in a very unique color option. Among the electric scooters launched, the Harper and Harper ZX sport a sporty look with a front apron, sharp body panels and sleek turn signals. To differentiate between the two, the Harper gets a dual headlamp unit, while the Harper ZX gets a single headlamp. The special thing about these scooters is that the back seater will feel comfortable, as they have a backrest. The company has also shared information related to this on its Facebook page.

The eVespa, on the other hand, is a retro-style electric scooter, similar to the petrol-powered Vespa. Talk about the fourth electric scooter i.e. Glyde, then it comes out as the no-frills electric scooter of the future.

Will charge in four hours
Greta Electric Scooters claims that these scooters offer a riding range of up to 100 kms on a single charge. The e-scooters are equipped with 48-volt/60-volt lithium-ion batteries. The company has also given the option of choosing a specific battery pack for these e-scooters. Greta Electric Scooters claims that it will take around four hours for the e-scooter to be fully charged from zero. The Greta Harper, Ivespa and Harper ZX models get drum disc brakes, while the Glide gets dual disc hydraulic brakes. These e-scooters are available in 22 different color options. The price of Great Electric Scooter is between 60 to 92 thousand rupees. The company is working to expand its dealer network across the country. Greta is also testing her scooter in Europe and is expected to get approval soon.
