US Army conducts exercise under UN Charter
As part of the command post exercise, Indian and US armies are undergoing training on aspects of deployment of joint forces under the United Nations Charter. The main attraction is the military decision-making process in which joint personnel of both countries exercise their respective charters. The Director of Exercise, Brigadier Parag Nangre also shared his experiences and challenges faced at UNMISS for all proposals for the Command Post Exercise.
At the same time, the joint training exercise ‘Ex Yudh Exercise 21’ of soldiers of India and America began on Friday at Amendorf Richardson Military Base in Alaska, USA. The national flags of both the countries were unfurled and the national anthem was sung to mark the beginning of the exercise. This information has been given by the US Defense Ministry Pentagon. At the same time, the Indian Defense Ministry had already told that this exercise will be organized from October 15 to October 29.
What is the purpose of ‘Ex Yudh Exercise 21’
In this 14-day exercise, mainly under the instructions of the United Nations, training is to be given to counter and defeat terrorism. According to the Pentagon, 300 personnel of the US Army’s First Squadron and 350 personnel of the Indian Army’s 7 Madras Infantry Battalion are participating in the exercise. In this 14-day exercise, soldiers of both the countries will exercise for retaliation and joint operation against terrorism.
The Indian contingent was welcomed by Major General Brian Effler, chief of the US Army’s Alaska unit, at the opening ceremony of the exercise. He requested that both the parties do this exercise to understand each other, enhance their capabilities and achieve the goals with greater synergy. During this, exchange ideas freely. Both the parties should inform each other about their quality activities.
