Micro-blogging site Twitter has announced that it is now rolling out a new update for Space, allowing hosts to nominate up to two co-hosts for their social audio room. The new update will help manage and moderate conversations for the host of the audio space.
As The Verge reports, once invited, the co-host has almost all the same moderation and management privileges as the main host. They can speak, invite other room members to speak, pin tweets, boot people from the room, and more. However, it has some limitations, for example, only the main host can invite or remove other users as co-hosts.
For example, one co-host cannot invite another. Even co-hosts cannot end the room; Only the original host can. The report said that the co-host feature also expands the number of participants who can talk simultaneously in space. He added that now you can have one host, two co-hosts and ten speakers who can be active in a room at the same time. The new version is out now and should be a useful part of helping the host keep the space under control, especially for larger conversations.
A recent report states that Twitter users will now be able to compose a new tweet directly from the space, which will be linked to audio chat and any hashtag. A report previously stated that although it was possible to compose new tweets while listening to the first space, placing the composer directly in the space would allow participants to tweet about the conversation more easily.
Twitter will now allow users to sign in to the app with a Google account or Apple ID. The company wrote on its support page on the platform that it is now adding the option to log in with Google and Apple ID. The feature was reportedly shown off in Twitter beta last month, but is now more widely available.
