Google’s email scheduling feature allows you to draft an email and send it at a future date and time of your choosing. It was introduced by Google in Gmail in April 2019. Email scheduling on Gmail is available on both the mobile app and desktop browser. It gives you the option to choose a pre-fixed date and time or to enter a custom time at which you want the receiver to receive your mail.

How to Schedule Email on Gmail Via Desktop Browser
- Go to gmail.com and log in with your Google Account if you aren’t already.
- Click on compose and compose your mail with the email id of the receiver.
- Now instead of clicking on send, click on the small drop down arrow next to the send button and select Schedule Send.
- You will be shown some pre-set options for the next few days. If one of them suits you, just click on it and your email will be scheduled.
- If you want to select a date and time, click Select date and time instead.
- You should see a calendar where you can select the date for which you want to schedule mail. Alternatively, you can manually enter the date in the Time with text field.
- Once done, click on send schedule and your email will be scheduled for that date and time.
How to Schedule Email on Gmail Through the Mobile App
- Open the Gmail app on your Android or iOS device.
- Click on compose and compose your mail with the email id of the receiver.
- Click on the three dot menu in the top right and tap on Schedule Send.
- You should see some preset options along with pick date and time options. To enter date and time manually, click on pick date and time.
- Select the date and time you want and click on send schedule.
- Scheduled mails on Gmail are sent in the “Scheduled” category in the navigation panel. You can have up to 100 scheduled mails and you can edit them at any time before they are sent automatically.
