Due to some flaws found in the current version of Google Chrome, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued an advisory asking people to update it.
Google Chrome
If you are using Google Chrome browser on your computer, then immediately update it to the latest version 92.0.4515.131 of Google Chrome because not doing so can be dangerous for you and you can be a victim of hacking. In fact, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued an advisory asking people to update their Chrome browser to the latest version.
CERT-In has issued this information because many flaws have been found in the current version of Google Chrome, with the help of which hackers can easily target users and attack the system. CERT-In said in its advisory that these flaws in Google Chrome have come due to heap buffer overflow error in bookmarks. Use File System API, Browser UI or Page Info UI after it is error free. According to this, all three users of Windows, Mac and Linux can be affected.
The computer emergency team also told how hackers can hack users’ accounts through these flaws. CERT-In said that a remote attacker can carry out hacking by taking advantage of these flaws through a specially crafted document. If the remote attacker is successful in this, then he can easily hack the system and carry out his plans.
Let us tell you that recently CERT-In warned Apple iPhone and iPad users to update their phones to iOS 14.7.1 and iPadOS to 14.7. This agency, working under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, had said that iPhone and iPad users have flaws which can be easily targeted.
Apart from this, CERT-In has also issued a high alert regarding the lapses of new memory corruption. The devices most affected include iPhone 6s and above and all iPad models, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad Mini 4 and later, iPad touch (7th generation) are included.
