Google’s most important feature is end-to-end encryption for the Messages app. Google is now rolling out an end-to-end encryption feature to everyone who has access to RCS. The security feature was earlier available only for beta users. When a message is encrypted, users will see a lock icon on the send button. For this, both the sender and receiver should have chat features enabled and they should have an active internet connection. Google says that end-to-end encryption is available for face-to-face conversations. There is no information on when it will be available for group chat.
