However, after the demand for the ban was raised, the company has said that, it has removed the problem of this data sharing. According to the report of IGN India, Battlegrounds Mobile India sent a small update for this. After this update, now the data sharing error has been fixed.
As soon as a player opens the app, the update is applied to the device. Upon completion of the update, it prompts users to restart the game and asks users to log in once again to continue accessing their in-game account. Reportedly, when he tried to run the packet sniffer again, the game was no longer pinging the Chinese server.
The company was sending data
If you recall, the app was initially found to be sending Indian user data to China Mobile Communications servers in Beijing, Tencent-owned Proxima Beta in Hong Kong as well as Microsoft Azure servers in the US, Mumbai and Moscow. However, after the update, it connected to the Hong Kong server (Proxima beta) only once and this happened when the app data was completely cleared from the phone and fresh login was done.
