Facebook Portal: Social media giant Facebook on Tuesday announced the launch of two new Portal video calling devices Portal Go and Portal Plus. This is the first major hardware lineup refresh of the device since 2019. The Portal lineup has been launched by Facebook almost entirely for video calling. It has been introduced exclusively in the latest software update with an Android-based interface.
In this device, the focus has been on the facility of video calls for those working in remote areas. It comes with the new Calendar app. This calendar app syncs with Google or Outlook and informs users about upcoming meetings. Through this, users can quickly join the meeting from the portal home screen.
Portal Go और Portal Plus: Price and Availability
Portal Go has been priced at $199 or around Rs 14,600, while Portal Plus can be purchased by customers for $349 or around Rs 25,700. Both the devices are available only in white color and can be pre-ordered. Its shipping will start from October 19. These devices have currently been launched in the US. There is no information about when these products will come to other markets including India.

The Portal Go has a 10-inch screen, and a standalone battery to allow portability to the device. This is the first portal that will not need to be connected to power continuously. It also has a 12MP wide-angle camera. On the other hand, the Portal Plus has a 14-inch display. The working style of Portal Plus is similar to its earlier devices. It no longer has a swivel display. Both the devices have built-in Amazon Alexa support for the smart voice assistant.
