The Starlink project, run by SpaceX, is set to provide low-latency broadband Internet service around the world via hundreds of small satellites. This service has also started in some areas. Under this project, it is a dream to provide internet connectivity to those areas which are completely away from the ground broadband service. Elon Musk tweeted a stunning photo of the Falcon 9 rocket after its recent launch. The moon is seen rising in its background. Significantly, Elon Musk is also eyeing NASA’s Moon mission, under which preparations are being made to land humans on the moon again after 30 years. In his tweet, Elon Musk wrote, “Coming back to the moon soon.”
Meanwhile, SpaceX has also shared a video related to this launch. It can be seen in the video that the rocket starts taking off over a huge cloud in the night sky.
Another video showed how the first stage booster returned to Earth after separating from the rocket and landing on the ‘SpaceX drone ship’. SpaceX is repeatedly using the booster of the first stage as a reuse machine. It is returned to Earth. By doing this the company saves money and also reduces the cost of launch.
If you didn’t see the launch of the Starlink mission, don’t despair. SpaceX has shared a video of about two hours.
More Starlink satellite launches are expected in the coming weeks and months. Remember that the US Federal Communications Commission has given SpaceX permission to launch 12,000 mini-satellites.
