Rushlane’s report states that a total of 2,31,338 units of electric two wheelers were sold in the country in FY 2022, which is 460 percent more than 41,046 units sold in FY 2021. Hero Electric is at the forefront of sales. It sold 14,771 units in FY21, which increased to 65,303 units in 2022. However, its market share has come down from 35.99 per cent to 28.23 per cent.
According to the report, Okinawa has emerged as the second largest manufacturer. It sold 6,972 units in FY21 and increased to 46,447 units in 2022. Its market share has increased from 16.99 per cent to 20.08 per cent. Ampere is at number three. It has sold 24648 units as against 5903 in FY21. Ampere has a market share of over 10%.
Ather Energy is in the fourth position. The company sold 19,971 units in FY 2022 as against 4,401 units in FY21.
Pur (PUR) Energy is at number 5 in the list of best selling electric two wheeler OEMs in the country. It has sold 14,862 units in FY 2022 and has a market share of 6.42 per cent.
However, Ola Electric is at the sixth position. Recently, the company is in the news due to the fire in the electric scooter. Ola’s sales in FY 2022 have been 14,371 units. Ola is followed by brands like TVS and Revolt, while Bajaj Auto is at number 10. The company has sold 7,084 units in the financial year 2022.
