Google recently launched Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Now users of these smartphones have filed complaints on Reddit and Google Support forum that these smartphones are getting cracked. This update was first spotted by Android Police. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus has been used in these smartphones. It is touted as the toughest protective display covering in the market. Some users have also shared pictures of their smartphone’s cracked display on the forum.
A user has said that his phone has never been dropped, yet it is cracked. But he got a reply from the company’s helpline that the screen of the phone never breaks just like that. Most of the complaints have been received from Pixel 6 Pro users. Curved display has been given in Pixel 6 Pro. There are 27 customer responses on the company’s support thread and Google had not responded to these complaints at the time of writing this news.
Gadgets 360 has also contacted the company for a response. As soon as there is any response from the company regarding this, it will be updated here.
In another update related to Pixel 6, Google has disabled the Call Screen and Hold For Me feature. Both these features are assistant enabled. In a support thread, a product support manager has revealed that the company has disabled these features in Pixel 6 smartphones running on the December QPR release of Android 12. There were some problems with which this has been done to fix them. Call Screen feature is useful for users to separate calls coming from unknown numbers in that supported area. With the help of Hold For Me feature, the user can also do other things during the call and the phone remains on hold for that.
