There is good news for international travellers. In a major relief, the Centre’s CoWIN portal has now enabled users to link their COVID-19 vaccination certificates with passports. Giving all the details on the linking process, the official handle of the Aarogya Setu app tweeted, “Now, you can update your passport number in your vaccination certificate.”
The Aarogya Setu app also allows one-time change of names to ensure that the names on the vaccine certificate and passport are identical. If there is no match in the details, which means that the name mentioned on the certificate does not match with the name given on the passport, then one can request for name correction on the website also. Follow these steps to link your passport with your vaccination certificate…
- Visit the official portal of CoWIN www.cowin.gov.in. Click on the ‘Passport’ option and select the person whose certificate you want to link from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your passport number. Submit the details.
- Once this process is completed, the user will receive a new update certificate in a few seconds.
- How to Edit Personal Details on CoWIN
- Visit the official portal of CoWin www.cowin.gov.in.
- Select ‘Raise an issue’ option.
- Click on the ‘Correction in Certificate’ option from the drop-down menu and select the person whose details you want to change.
- Click on the options you need to make corrections and edit the details.
- Click Submit.
