OTP scam is not new, but this time hackers have created something that anyone can cheat. So if you also have some such link coming, then do not click on it by mistake.
SBI otp scam
There is no good news for State Bank of India customers. Chinese hackers are targeting bank users here. In this, users are being implicated with the help of phishing scams and they are being asked to update their KYC. All this is being done by sending a link in which it has been claimed that they will get 50 lakh rupees. The message is being forwarded with the help of WhatsApp. Cyber security researchers have issued a warning regarding this.
Delhi-based research wing i.e. think tank Cyber Peace Foundation and Autobot Infosec Private Limited have unearthed hackers who have chosen customers in the name of SBI. This has come to the fore at a time when some smartphone users have issued a warning regarding this SBI scam.
People are being made victims like this
The research team told that, all the domain names they detected, all of them turned out to be registered from China. Here the hackers are first sending a text message to the users and requesting them for KYC verification, after which the user who is opening that link is going directly to a page which is exactly the same as the SBI online page. Looks like.
After this, as soon as someone continues to login, the website is directly taking him to the full-kyc.php page. After reaching here, users are being asked their username, password and captcha and are being asked to login to online banking. After this, OTP is being sent to the users on their mobile number. As soon as the OTP is entered, it is going directly to another page where once again the information of the users is being sought. In this, the account holder’s name, mobile number, date of birth are being sought.
Researchers said that, through this, hackers want to claim that SBI has started this campaign. But the website SBI. Com is being opened directly in the name of third party, which is creating more suspicion. Let us tell you that the overall look of the page has been made exactly like SBI. Till now SBI has not given any statement on this.
Let us tell you that if you are getting a message like this, then do not forget to click on it because you can also be a victim of it and your entire account may be empty. Never open third party links. Always use the official app and website only.
