Why social media platforms are focusing on short videos
Short-form videos (SFV) are between 15 seconds and 2 minutes long, and long-form videos (LFV) longer than 2 minutes. Instagram now has Reels, IGTV and IG Live. YouTube has recently introduced YouTube Shorts in India. The report says that by 2025, three out of four Internet users, or 600 million to 650 million Indians, will use short-form video, with active users spending 55 to 60 minutes per day.
