Developers had given confidence to the government
According to a report by IGN India, Battlegrounds Mobile India APK has sent and received data to external servers, including servers in China. The report states that this is despite the developers’ assurances to the Indian authorities that the game’s ties with China will be cut. The game’s servers are sending data to China Mobile Communications’ servers based in Beijing. Apart from this, data is being sent to Proxima Beta located in Hong Kong and Microsoft Azure servers in Mumbai, Moscow and the US.
If these reports are found to be true, then the game can be banned in India. This game is a special version of PUBG Mobile, which was replaced by the central government last year after banning 200 apps related to China. India has been concerned about the privacy of its users. It fears that China may misuse the data of its apps. Apart from the popular video game PUBG Mobile, social media platform Tiktok was also banned.

After the arrival of these reports, there is no doubt that if these reports turn out to be true, then the government can take some strict action against the developers.
