This job application of Steve Jobs has been auctioned 3 times so far where its price kept increasing over time. But in the fourth time it finally got the price it wanted.
Everything is mentioned in this job application from Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs will always be remembered as the co-founder of the people’s favorite company. Jobs was the person with whom Apple’s name is always associated. But do you know that technology and entrepreneur genius also felt the need for a job in the early days of Apple. The biggest proof of this is his application, which recently got Rs 2.5 crore in the auction.
The proof of this is also that, in the year 1973, this application was filled by Steve Jobs himself. Jobs was only 18 years old during that time. In such a situation, this was the first and last application of Jobs at that time. Here Jobs himself did not know what a big thing was waiting for him ahead.
This hand written application is an example of what people do when they are young, to get a job. The first job is very special for everyone. Jobs mentioned having a driver’s license but no phone and access to transportation “possible but not probable” in the application.
Looking at the job application, it is known how unique it was. This is the reason why this application has got so much money in the auction. Let us tell you that this is not the first time that this job application was put up for auction. This application has gone up for auction three times before this. In such a situation, the number of times it has gone, its value has gone on increasing more and more.
In the month of March, the exact same job application got a total of Rs 1.7 crore in the auction. During this, in the year 2017, it was put up for auction in New York. This was the first auction which was quite different. It is not just a job application but it has also been sold as NFT.
So that is the reason, this auction was done. It was auctioned by a group of friends under alias Winthorpe Ventures. This was done so that the value of its digital asset could be ascertained. In such a situation, when the job application was being auctioned as a physical copy, then the NFT was being auctioned with the help of Ethereum.
By the end of the auction, the group got the answer it asked for. The auction ended with a print copy of the job application by Steve Jobs, four times the NFT version. So, we now know that people are more interested in the actual letter written by Jobs himself, and not just the digital copy of it.
