Rovio has announced the release of Rovio Classics: Angry Birds on its official website. It is a complete remake of the old game which is built on Unity Engine. The developers have tried to maintain the classic 2012 feel by bringing all the eight original chapters of the game with over 390 levels. Its roster includes all the classic characters from the 2012 version, including Easter Eggs. Mighty Eagle has been added to the roster for free, which was available via an in-app purchase in the original version.
The credit goes to its fans for the 2012 version that Rovio has chosen for its remake. The company removed the original Angry Birds from the App Stores in 2019. The game’s fans then launched a campaign #BringBack2012 which trended on several social media platforms. Responding to fans’ desire, Alex Pelletier Normand, CEO of Rovio, said, “Angry Birds has touched a lot of hearts and has been a massive presence in mobile gaming. After listening to fans’ pleas, all we had to do was find a way to get Angry Birds back.”
As mentioned earlier, Rovio Classics: Angry Birds can be purchased from App Store for Rs.89 and Google Play for Rs.85. There is no microtransaction feature in the game and there are no advertisements.
