Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced new programs on Thursday. Under this, cloud computing skills will be taught to the students of the school. And entrepreneurs will be helped to develop Innovative Education Technology (EdTech) solutions on the cloud. According to the statement, a Statement of Intent (SoI) has been signed in NITI Aayog and Amazon Internet Services Private Limited (AISPL) for this.

According to SoI, AIM will use Amazon’s global program AWS Educate, which provides resources for cloud-related learning for students and teachers. The program will introduce students to the fundamentals of cloud computing at more than seven thousand Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) in India such as cloud storage, virtual computer power, web hosting, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and virtual reality. AWS will also conduct a faculty development program for these charge officers at ATL and provide resources and tools to enhance student learning at each ATL. And help them to create and develop solutions on the cloud.

The statement said AIM AWS will also adopt EdStart, a virtual startup accelerator program that will allow EdTech startups to develop innovative teaching and learning solutions on AWS. EdTech startup entrepreneurs and founders who are at over 80 Atal Incubation Centers (AICs) and Atal Community Innovation Centers (ACICs) will be able to apply for AWS EdStart Program Benefits such as AWS Promotional Credits, mentorship and technical training to accelerate their growth.
