The cultural capital of India – belongs to Varanasi Chhavi Singh Worked with investment banks such as UBS, Morgan Stanley for nearly a decade. After settling in the United States with his family, he woke up to a dream of becoming an entrepreneur and decided to start his own business. Unlike many others, doing something impressive was their priority, not profit-making. Out of the countless ideas, Chitra chose a meaningful idea and started working towards bringing it to the ground. Chhavi made a revolutionary decision to help women artists around the world.
Chhavi’s previous experience working with large multinational corporations helped her find the best business idea. During research, she found that women artists face many difficulties to establish themselves despite talent. Chhavi found that the number of professional women artists is very low (45% of the total) while the proportion of women enrolled in arts colleges (75% of the total). Moreover, there is no nomination of women artists in the top 25 list. These figures inspired Chhavi through her startup to work on the underlying problem by creating a technology savvy, digital platform for women artists worldwide.
In the year 2018, Chhavi took her platform from USA, DailyDeginist Launched on. In the last two years, she has added 400+ female artists from over 16 countries. Her artists range from stay-at-home mothers to working women who showcase their works on platforms provided by startups. Another important business strategy for startups is its unique online learning offering for children (above 4 years old) and adults, giving women artists another revenue option to teach art / Indian folk art to children. The startup has launched its free mobile apps (for art lovers) for iOS and Android devices, allowing their services and products to be viewed with just one click.

Business Khabar In a conversation with, Chhavi discussed his future plans. In the year 2021 – their startup is launching another product line, called “Art Wearable”. Under its banner there will be a touch of folk arts on dress, equipment and jewelery. They will be heritage wear and have timeless treasures with Indian folk arts painted on it.
Instead of leading a happy life, Chhavi’s decision to work for women artists through her social startup is an indicator of social development. Coming to the forefront of this new trend, despite inspiring people to work for the happiness of others around them, despite being efficient for themselves, will eventually make this world a happier place and, the real hero of this campaign, Chavi Will be like a lion.
