Somebody has rightly said that the work done by identity lasts for a very short time, but the recognition from work lasts for a lifetime.
In today’s changing scenario, there are very few people who, after achieving success, once again look back towards the society and think that we have moved forward and now the turn is to move the society forward. This feeling of fulfilling our obligation is seen only in select individuals who want to pay the debt of salt of the country. The 28-year-old of Bihar has given priority to her responsibility to bring such positive changes in society. Garima Vishal has.
Although, usually students graduating from an institute like IIM have a dream, of a great job with a package of millions of crores, but people like Garima think about society leaving the temptation of money. That is why Garima left a package of lakhs and started a unique school in Muzaffarpur to teach poor children, whose name is “Dejawoo School of Innovation“।
Madhubani’s daughter and daughter-in-law of Muzaffarpur, Garima, chose to change society by teaching children. To educate the underprivileged children through their school, Garima moved away from the education system implemented in the country and implemented a new education system, which is based on the three pillar education system. Garima’s father was the registrar and her transfer from time to time kept moving from one city to another, which is why Garima was completed from different schools in Bihar and Jharkhand. In an era when female education was not given much attention, she always got encouragement from family members for studies.
“My father always encouraged me and my siblings to pursue higher education because they understood the importance of education in today’s society. I was the first graduate of my city. My parents’ motivation made me realize my responsibilities that I could educate other children as well. ” – Garima Vishal
Garima completed her 12th from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Patna and then enrolled in Manipal Institute of Technology for further studies. Garima, who topped the studies since childhood, became a well-known company in the country like Campus Selection Infosys while studying in 2011. According to the social and practical scale, her career was moving at a fast pace, but the teacher hidden inside her mind would always try to come out to realize the idea of social change. But when her posting took place in Bhubaneswar, it turned out to be a changing phase of her life, which gave the teacher inside her an opportunity to fulfill her responsibility.
During a specific conversation with Kenfolioz, Garima said that “When my posting was in Bhubaneswar office of Infosys. Then one day I was going somewhere with a sharing auto. A Gujarati family was also with their children in that auto. Their children were talking among themselves in Hindi. I grew curious as to how the children of Gujarati family in Bhubaneswar are speaking in Hindi so well? Curiously, I asked which school do they study? So the answer was that they do not study in school because the Oriya language is taught in government schools and they cannot teach in private schools because their financial condition is not good. Then what was the responsibility of teaching those children and I started the process of teaching the children. ”

Garima started teaching children from 7 to 9 am. Gradually, the number of children started increasing and soon the number of children reached 30. But it was during her job that he took the CAT examination conducted by IIM to do MBA and her selection in CAT got her IIM in Lucknow. When Garima had to go to Lucknow for further studies, after working hard at that time, those children were admitted to various schools, the expenses were borne by Garima and gave the month’s fee to her parents.
After completing her MBA, her campus selection was done in a MNC named ZS in Gurgaon. But she wanted to do something for society by being the creator of the country’s better future. Garima recalls her dream of realizing her dream, “I was in a lot of confusion as to how to fulfill my dream. Only when engineering was my friend Abhay (Abhay Nandan), now my soulmate, he Seeing my great interest in teaching, I suggested that you do what you want, so that you will be satisfied in life. I liked Abhay’s thing and both my mind and heart started thinking accordingly. Then after discussions with a few more friends and family members, the way to start school was cleared. ”
The year 2014 proved to be the most transformative year in the life of Garima. Got admission in IIM and together with five friends, it was decided to set up a school whose ultimate goal was to give the country a bright future through education. When Garima said goodbye to her job, her annual package was about 20 lakh rupees but she found social responsibility of teaching more important than this money.
After everyone’s consent, the effort to open a school started in Bihar and it was finally decided to set up a school in Madipur, Muzaffarpur. The school was named “Dejavu school of innovation“Déjàvu is a French word, which means to feel connected, so made the school atmosphere like home and studying from playschool to second class became Shri Ganesh. The school of Garima started from 10 children and today within 2 years about 100 children are studying up to the fifth class. Fees have been fixed considering the economic status of the children’s family, which is extremely low as the goal of Garima is to provide only quality education. Garima leaves no stone unturned in their work. They not only train teachers regularly for better education of children, as well as explain to the parents of the children how to take care of their child at home. How to give them an environment, as well as a special emphasis on the use of technology. The Garima team consists of all doctors and engineers who want to do something for society. The fellow members of Garima come to her school from time to time, conduct health tests of the children, counselling the children and their parents.
For me school staff does not mean only degree holders, for me staff means people who have a passion to do something different, teachers who put young children in the ranks of motherhood. That is why I give priority to women in my school because the quality of motherhood is the identity of the woman.
Garima has a good knowledge of the capabilities of women, then only she does not want to let the talent of the women who put herself in her household chores after marriage end, but wants to enable them by giving employment. According to the interest of the children in this unique school of Garima, they are motivated so that children do what they want to do in life. Garima’s management studies are very useful in school management when she adopts 360-degree development in children’s personality building.
Today, we need a young society based on the idea of Garima, which can contribute to maximum development and be able to make our passion a livelihood.
