Pune: A startup competition named Swachh Technology Challenge has been organized under the joint aegis of Savitribai Phule Pune University and Pune Municipal Corporation. The competition has been organized to find solutions to social problems like waste, plastic removal, waste water disposal.
Clean technology is a part of Swachh Survekshan-2022 in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Prizes ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 5 lakh will be given to the winners of the competition. The winners of the competition will get an opportunity to participate in the national level competition.
Competition based on four concepts
Pune Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner Ajit Deshmukh said that this challenge is based on four concepts like Samaj Ka Sahyog (Social Inclusion), Zero Waste Management (Zero Dump), Plastic Waste Management (Plastic Waste Management) and Transparency. Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Karmalkar said that work is being done through the university in the fields of automotive automation, water and wastewater extraction, agriculture, health, physical science etc. These include several components.

For the winners going to the national level in the competition, the first prize will be Rs 5 lakh, the second prize will be Rs 2.5 lakh, the third prize will be Rs 1.5 lakh and the fourth prize will be Rs 1 lakh. While the fifth prize will be of 75 thousand rupees. The competition is open to all. Interested to create your new imagination in 5 to 6 slides and 5 minutes of video.
