Gujarat people have dominated the top 100 richest people in the world but Gujarati youth have yet to open an account in the under 40 rich lists. A number of lucrative steps have been taken by the central government to accelerate startups. The state government has also initiated efforts.
There are 764 registered startups in Gujarat. When it comes to unregistered startups, there are more than 4000 active ones in Gujarat. Startups are working in Gujarat in segments like Engineering, FMCG, Hospitality, Retail, Food-Jewellery, Automobile, Component.
IIFL Wealth and Hurun India have released the Under 40 and Self Made Rich List 2020. There is a ranking of self-made entrepreneurs with a fortune of Rs 1000 crore. This includes Indian entrepreneurs under the age of forty. Which represents the most emerging entrepreneurs in India business in the world.
In the list of under-40 richest people in the world, there are 9 entrepreneurs in the top-10 in India, with the highest number of seven being from Bengaluru. Gujaratis have set foot all over the world in the sense of business or trade. In first place is Nitin and Nikhil Kamath of Bengaluru from Zerodha Group with a net worth of Rs. 24000 crore. This is followed by Divyanka Turkhiya, a businessman from Dubai’s Media Net worth Rs 14,000 crore, and Amod Malviya, Sujit Kumar and Vaibhav Gupta from Bengaluru Udan.
Most of the entrepreneurs have gone out of their original business in whole or in part and are raising investment funds as well as supporting other young entrepreneurs, said Anas Rahman, MD, Hurun India. IIFL Wealth Huron India 40 and Under Self-Made Rich List 2020 have 17 Indian entrepreneurs under the age of 40 who have amassed a combined wealth of Rs 45,000 crore. All of these young leaders are self-made and most of them are moving into the digital sector.

11 out of 12 startups in Under-40 Wealth
All the entrepreneurs featured in IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2020 who are below 40 years of age including 11 out of 12 startups, or Unicorn who are represented as startups Whose wealth is more than 1 billion. Nitin and Nikhil Kamath from Bengaluru, who belong to the Zerodha Group, have developed an online trading platform and are well-known as the largest stockbrokers in the country. Among the only self-made women in the IIFL Wealth Hurun India 40 and Under Self Made Rich list is Mumbai’s Devita Saraf, Rs. It ranks 16th with a net worth of Rs 1,200 crore. Incentive measures are also being taken for women entrepreneurs in the country due to which women are starting industry in many organizations.
More than 15000 startups active in the country
There are approximately 15000 registered startups in the country. India is the third-largest country in the world in terms of an environment conducive to startups.
