Coach Rajput will not be with the team for the first two ODIs in Sri Lanka due to the isolation protocol.
New Delhi, Ahead of the 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe team has suffered a major setback. Zimbabwe cricket team head coach Lalchand Rajput (Head Coach Lalchand Rajput Corona Positive) has been found to be Corona positive.
After Rajput’s corona report came positive, he has been admitted to the hospital as a precaution before being sent to isolation in a hotel. Let us tell you that due to the isolation protocol, Coach Rajput will not be with the team in the first two ODIs in Sri Lanka.

Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, a Sri Lankan sports doctor said, “We are doing some routine tests and he will be able to go back to the hotel. There will be a 10-day quarantine period which means that he will not be able to be with the team for the first two matches.
The first ODI between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will be played on January 16 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. The second one-day match will be played on January 18 and the third one-day match on January 21 at the same venue. Zimbabwe’s team reached Colombo on 10 January to take part in the ODI series. Lalchand Rajput has played 2 Tests and 4 ODIs for India. He is a big name in the world of coaching and under his guidance India also won the 2007 T20 World Cup.
