Women’s IPL 2023: The Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) has invited functions for “the right to own and operate” groups on the inaugural ladies’s IPL which is ready to kick off in March this yr. BCCI requested for ‘reputed entities to make a non-refundable fee of INR 5 lakh (USD 6000 approx.) by January 21 to acquire the “invitation to tender.”
Men’s IPL groups too
So far there isn’t any official affirmation on the matter and there are excessive potentialities of some teams who personal males’s IPL franchises can bid for ladies’s groups too. Teams like Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders are believed to be interested by buying ladies’s IPL groups.
BCCI confirmed Women’s IPL in 2022
Earlier, in 2022 BCCI confirmed the beginning of ladies’s IPL after a protracted wait. Responding to the demand for the event, Former BCCI President Ganguly had stated, “It is certainly going to happen. I strongly believe that next year i.e. 2023 will be a very good time to start a full-fledged women’s IPL which will be as big and grand a success as men’s IPL.”
BCCI secretary Jay Shah had stated, “Multiple existing IPL teams have enquired and expressed serious interest in owning WIPL franchises.”
