FOXBORO — Welcome again.
On Wednesday, the Patriots re-signed 15 gamers to their follow that they launched Tuesday forward of the league’s 53-man roster deadline. Cornerback Terrance Mitchell, broad receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey and linebacker Cameron McGrone headlined the group. Humphrey, who was a candidate to be claimed off waivers by one other staff, stated he was glad to return to New England after initially being dissatisfied in his launch.
“(It was) stressful. Didn’t get what I wanted, but got something regardless, and I’m happy with it,” Humphrey stated. “I got an opportunity to continue to play football, and there’s no better feeling than that.”
He later added: “You’re just happy to be somewhere, but it’s always better to be where you kind of started camp at because you get a feel for the guys, the system, the guys. So I’m happy I stayed.”
The different 12 gamers signed to the follow squad have been cornerback operating again J.J. Taylor, operating again Kevin Harris, broad receiver Tre Nixon, tight finish Matt Sokol, tight finish Jalen Wydermyer, offensive lineman James Ferentz, offensive lineman Kody Russey, offensive lineman Bill Murray, defensive lineman LaBryan Ray, defensive lineman Jeremiah Pharms, linebacker Harvey Langi and security Brad Hawkins.
The Patriots have one open spot remaining on their follow squad, and in addition fielded a brand new offensive lineman carrying No. 68 at Wednesday’s follow.
