The Patriots will play the Colts in Frankfurt, Germany, on Nov. 12 in a Week 10 matchup, the NFL introduced Wednesday.
Kickoff is about for 9:30 a.m. ET. The Patriots would be the designated residence group, as one of many few franchises that owns advertising rights in Germany. The remainder of the group’s schedule will likely be launched Thursday.
“Germany has some of the most passionate sports fans in the world and has always been an international leader in enthusiasm for American football and the NFL,” Patriots proprietor and CEO Robert Kraft stated in a press release. “I’m thrilled to play a home game in this new market and to continue to build upon our team’s long history and engagement with German fans. Our goal is to connect with fans at the local level, and I look forward to expanding that fan base and fostering additional relationships and opportunities for partnership in Germany as well as Austria and Switzerland.”
The Nov. 12 sport would be the Patriots’ first worldwide kickoff since 2017, after they beat the Raiders in Mexico City. The Pats beforehand kicked off twice in London and gained each video games in 2009 and 2012.
The Chiefs and Dolphins will play the NFL’s second-ever sport in Germany and first in Frankfurt on Nov. 5. Last season, the Buccaneers edged Seattle 21-16 in Munich for the league’s first Germany sport.
