Mohali: The Indian team has done wonders in the Mohali Test. Team India has captured the first match of the Test series played between Sri Lanka and India (IND vs SL 1st Test). India won this match by an innings and 222 runs. Ravindra Jadeja also took four wickets in Sri Lanka’s follow-on innings, while Ravindrachandra Ashwin took 4 wickets in this innings, breaking Kapil Dev’s record. Along with this, Ashwin also completed 435 wickets. With this win, India took a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series.
With this victory, Rohit Sharma’s Test captaincy tenure also started tremendously. Along with this, Team India also gave the gift of victory in the 100th Test to former captain Virat Kohli. The single-handed Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja overshadowed Sri Lanka. After playing record innings, he was also seen bowling brilliantly.

Talking about the match, the Indian team won the toss and decided to bat first. Where Ravindra Jadeja scored a brilliant 175 runs in the first innings from India’s side and India scored 574 runs for 8 wickets, after which Team India declared the innings. Then Sri Lanka team got out for 174 runs in reply. Later, the Indian team gave a follow-on, in response to which the Sri Lankan team could not stand in front of India and fell behind by 222 runs.
