The picture of the 8 players of Team India, who became the champion of India in the ICC U-19 World Cup, 2022, to be included in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction is not clear yet. Sources are telling that, these players are not able to fulfill the criteria set by BCCI. These players include under-19 team wicketkeeper Dinesh Bana, vice-captain Sheikh Rashid, left-arm fast bowler Ravi Kumar, all-rounder Nishant Sindhu and Siddharth Yadav. Yadav), opener Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Manav Parakh and Garv Sangwan. Players like Rashid Shaikh, Dinesh Bana, Ravi Kumar and Nishant Sindhu performed well in the recently concluded ICC T20 World Cup, 2022 Under-19 in West Indies.
He doesn’t have any experience in domestic cricket.
According to the BCCI, only those U-19 players who have played at least one first-class cricket or List-A cricket match can register their names in the IPL Mega Auction. According to the rules, if players do not have experience in domestic cricket, then they should be at least 19 years old. However, the final decision on this matter is yet to be taken by the BCCI. It is worth noting that India’s domestic first class tournament ‘Ranji Trophy’ is going to start from February 17. In such a situation, despite the inclusion of U-19 players in their state’s Ranji team on behalf of the respective state cricket association, they will not be eligible to participate in the IPL Mega Auction, 2022 to be held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

BCCI should look into this matter: Prof. Ratnakar Shetty
It is worth noting that IPL Mega Auction, 2022 will be done in Bangalore. In this auction, a total of 590 cricketers of the country and the world will be bidding. Let us tell you that out of 590 players registered for IPL auction, 228 capped and 355 uncapped and 7 associate nation players are included. Experienced BCCI administrator Prof. Ratnakar Shetty is of the opinion that the Indian team has certainly performed well in the ICC U-19 World Cup, 2022 tournament and they should not be denied this opportunity. It is a matter of luck that these boys could not play List-A cricket tournament. The reason for this was that the U-19 World Cup and List-A games were played together. I think BCCI should think of it as a special case. And players should not give up because of this.
