Application Invited for NSE MD-CEO: The tenure of the current MD and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the domestic benchmark index NSE, which is among the world’s largest indexes, is about to end in July. The exchange has invited applications for the new MD and CEO. According to a public notice released on Friday, NSE has sought applications from candidates having experience in IPO (Initial Public Offering). Indian citizens below 60 years of age can send their CV for MD & CEO of NSE to [email protected] by 6 PM of 25 March.

After this deadline, the nominations and remuneration committee will shortlist the candidates and then a selection committee consisting of NRC members and independent external members will recommend the candidates to the board, after which the names will be sent to SEBI for final approval. The five-year term of the current NSE chief Vikram Limaye is set to end in July this year. Limaye can also get the post for a second term but for this also he will have to compete with other candidates as per the rules of market regulator SEBI.

Eligibility Criteria for NSE MD-CEO
- At least 25 years of experience and knowledge of various aspects of capital, securities and financial markets.
- At least five years of leadership experience. Experience as CEO in Financial Services Sector will be preferred.
- Information on domestic and global market movements.
- Track record of strengthening Corporate Governance, Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance Management Framework.
- Knowledge of technology for business transformation.
- Work in a government listed company or lead an organization whose IPO has come. It will get additional benefit.
