FY21 Stock Market: FY 2021 is going to end now. Wednesday, March 31 will be the last trading day of this year for the stock market. Talking about this year, there has been a lot of ups and downs for the stock market. The financial year began with the corona virus epidemic and a lockdown was put in the country before 1 April 2020. Due to the lockdown, there was a huge decline in the stock market in the initial months. However, in the hope of a lockdown moving to different phases and a better economy, the market started picking up and many new records were made since July last year. At the moment, in this fluctuating year, investors have received up to 2290 per cent returns in different stocks from the market.
Sensex returns 78 percent
Talking about the day before the end of this financial year, the Sensex has given about 78 percent return. On 1 April, the Sensex was at 28265 levels, which strengthened to 50268 in intraday on 30 March. That is, it has got about 78 percent return. The Sensex had set an all-time high of 52516.76 on 16 February this year. At the same time, Nifty has also given 79 percent return in this financial year. On 16 February, the Nifty set an all time high of 15432.
The midcap index has returned 95 per cent this financial year, while the smallcap index has given around 120 per cent. Talking about the broad market BSE500, it has given 84% returns to investors.
The condition of different sectors
In the Bank Nifty, the return for the last 1 year was 81 per cent, while the Nifty IT Index has given 113 per cent return in 1 year. The returns of the FMCG index have been 30 per cent, while the returns of consumer goods have been 95 per cent. The PSU index has gone up by 58 per cent, while oil and gas gained 60 per cent. Nifty Pharma was up 76 percent and the Finance Index was up 77 percent. The realty index strengthened by more than 90 percent.
