Indian companies have raised Rs 31,000 crore from the Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the current financial year (2020-21) due to better global market conditions and bull run in domestic stock markets. Experts say that for the next financial year 2021-22, the IPO pipeline remains very strong. This is the highest figure for the amount raised from the IPO during the last three years. Retail Sandeep Bhardwaj, CEO of IIFL Securities, said that the IPO pipeline is very strong. 28 companies have the approval of Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) for an IPO to raise Rs 28,710 crore.

Rajendra Naik, Managing Director-Investment Banking, Centrum Capital, said that IPOs of LIC, HDB Financial Services, NCDEX, ESAF Small Finance Bank (ESAF Small Finance Bank) to come out in 2021-22 have hope.
30 companies raised 31277 crores from IPO so far
According to Experts, according to the data available with the stock markets, 30 companies raised Rs 31,277 crore through IPOs in 2020-21. In the last financial year, an amount of Rs 20,352 crore was raised through 13 IPOs.
Similarly, in 2018-19, 14 companies raised Rs 14,719 crore from the IPO. At the same time, in 2017-18, 45 companies raised Rs 82,109 crore from the IPO.
In addition to the IPO in the financial year 2020-21, Yes Bank’s FPO of Rs 15,000 crore also came. Experts said that there was a lot of diversification in the IPO market during the reporting period. During this period, IPOs of jewelery, technology, specialty chemicals, banking and financial services companies came.
Naik said, because of the bull run in the stock markets, companies are raising funds through IPOs. The primary market has also gained support by improving perception in the secondary market.
IPO market boom
Bhardwaj of IIFL Securities said that the IPO market is booming due to the sufficient liquidity position in the system, the business of new sectors with potential and the expectation, demand and growth for India.
Geojit Financial Services Chief Investment Strategist VK Vijaykumar said that the market is in a high position in terms of liquidity. Due to this, a large number of retail investors have been attracted towards the market.
