For two months, the Iceberg A68 Current Situation was stuck on the southern Antarctic Circumporal Current, where the ocean waves were very strong.
Largest iceberg melted
Iceberg A68 Latest: The world’s largest iceberg is no more. Whose name was A68. Iceberg covered an area of about 6000 square kilometers when it broke off the Larsen Sea ice shelf of the Antarctic in 2017 (A68 Icebreg 2021). Its size was comparable to a country like Wales (Where is the A68 Iceberg Now). But satellite photos show that this huge iceberg has now melted. The National Ice Center of America says that now there are countless pieces of iceberg, which will not be able to be tracked for a long time.
People are doing a lot of church on social media. Adrian Lucman of Swansia University says, “It is amazing that the A68 has been around for a long time.” ‘A68 has caught the attention of a wide variety of people (A68 Icebreg South Georgia),’ says Mapping Specialist Laura Garrish in the British Antartkit Survey (BAS). He further said, ‘We have seen a lot of twists and turns in it. We used to watch its progress daily through satellite pictures. We saw all this with such depth, as never before.
Iceberg started moving north
At first it was shaking hard for a year, but later it started moving towards north with high speed. In April 2020, fragments of this iceberg began to occur. Which continued to break and started going in different directions. Recently a large piece of it was also torn apart and broken (A68 Iceberg on Collision Path with South Georgia). This iceberg began to cover the area on either side of the South Georgia Ivance in the British Overseas Territory, but then it broke due to the arrival in the hot area.
Iceberg cannot be seen virtually
For the coming ten months, it was broken into pieces. There are many more icebergs on this small island, which will melt over time. According to the report, Iceberg was stuck on the southern Antarctic Circumpolor current front for two months, where the ocean waves were very strong (Iceberg A68 Current Position). This was the reason that Iceberg was moving towards southern Georgia at a fast pace. Satellite images show that it can no longer be seen virtually. It is almost completely over.
